What if a cartoon world didn’t behave like one?
After years of development, I’ve just published my comic project “Pranky Wolf: Stories of the Ethereal Grove” on Amazon.
What started as a simple character concept evolved into a larger IP built around tone and attitude rather than traditional storytelling.
At its core:
A mischievous wolf navigating a world that looks like a cartoon, but behaves nothing like one.
What defines the project:
- Dark humor mixed with absurd situations
- Dialogue influenced by rap-battle rhythm and street attitude
- Characters that constantly break expectations
The project is currently released as a comic, but I see strong potential for expansion into animation or episodic content.
Curious to hear your thoughts:
Do you think this kind of tone can translate well into animated or streaming formats?
Open to feedback and connections.

I think anything is possible within animation and your concept sounds different and I would love to see it. King of the Hill for example is an adult comedy that is not over exaggerated or irreverent. It breaks the mold and stands out.
Your animation could be a refreshing departure from what is typical.

Kevin Jackson Thanks, I appreciate it. It’s actually about animals living like modern humans, but grounded in real behavior and character-driven humor. Glad it stands out.

Cyrus Sales , thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Glad it comes across as something different. That’s exactly what I’m aiming for - something more grounded and character-driven, not following a typical formula.
