SIN NOMBRE – When the Mastermind Has No Name
I’m developing an animated feature idea and would love to hear the thoughts of fellow animation writers, directors, and creators.
The concept begins with a group of very human characters who are recruited for what appears to be an impossible operation.
They have a leader.
They follow his instructions.
They trust his calculations.
There’s just one problem…
Nobody has ever seen him.
The mastermind behind the operation is an advanced artificial intelligence — a virtual character with an almost perfect ability to calculate risks, predict behavior, and design the ultimate plan.
But the AI has one weakness it cannot calculate:
Human beings.
What follows is a mix of crime, comedy, suspense, and unexpected situations as a machine built on logic tries to control a group of people who are anything but logical.
I’m particularly interested in exploring this as animation for an adult audience, using animation to make the AI character something more than a traditional robot — a presence that can move between screens, voices, digital spaces, and eventually perhaps become something the characters themselves cannot fully understand.
The central question is:
Can an artificial intelligence create the perfect crime when the people carrying out the plan are human?

I came across your post about SIN NOMBRE and really liked the concept of an AI-driven heist thriller where the unpredictable nature of humans challenges a seemingly perfect plan.
