One of the most exciting upcoming animated projects is BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg's new adult animated series, Long Story Short. Following the dysfunctional Schwooper family, the series promises plenty of laugh-out-loud comedy and clever drama that will unpack the trials and tribulations of modern family life, from car rides to sibling squabbles.
Having already been renewed for Season 2 prior to the first outing's debut, Netflix clearly sees a promising future for Long Story Short, which will come as absolutely no surprise to anyone who has seen the critically acclaimed BoJack Horseman. From previous collaborators of Bob-Waksberg's to fresh new voices, the cast of Long Story Short includes Lisa Edelstein, Max Greenfield, Paul Reiser, Abbi Jacobson, and Ben Feldman.
Ahead of the series debut, Collider's Steve Weintraub talked with Bob-Waksberg, Jacobson, and Feldman about the group's favorite episodes, the pre-debut renewal, and hopes for the future. The trio also chat about BoJack Horseman, with Feldman even bravely admitting he had never seen Bob-Waksberg's animated masterpiece.
