This rough animatic done on an iPad with Procreate dreams was not only fun to make but it sold the concept to the client and made the animation easier, because it acted as the blueprint. NEVER skip the animatic, it saves you a lot of trouble in the long run.

Caribbean vibe and culture were very important to embody in this advocacy video. A mixture of dancing and iconic Jamaican scenery were key components in representing authenticity.

Kevin Jackson, this is fantastic! I love that you emphasized it not just as a creative tool, but as a communication tool. Being able to sell the concept to a client and align everyone visually before moving into full production is huge. That kind of clarity upfront really does save time, money, and a lot of back-and-forth later.

When you’re building your animatics, do you tend to focus more on timing and pacing first, or on visual storytelling and composition?

Looking great. I would suggest adding some sidewalk panels on the pan with the trash can, so it doesn't appear that the trash can is floating away.

Kevin Jackson

Thanks for that tip Bob Harper I appreciate it.

Love this. The Caribbean vibe and dancing really sell the message. Perfect for Earth Day and protecting the land. Animatic on an iPad is impressive proof that you don't need expensive tools to communicate a vision. Great work!
