I don't know if I am the only one noticing, but almost every day there is a new announcement of an animator or voice actor in animation who died recently. Many of them Japanese. Has anyone else noticed? What's going on? How are we losing so many in such a short span of time?

I’ve noticed, it’s quite sad. I do wonder why we’re losing so many of them :/
You're right, it's heartbreaking to see so many Japanese animation veterans passing, especially the recent losses of Kōzō Shioya (Majin Buu) and Masako Ikeda (Galaxy Express 999) within just a couple of months but as we mourn these legends, let's also celebrate them!
