A Look at Our First Animation - Help Us Improve!

I wanted to share our first animated commercial. While we learned a great deal throughout the process, rather than sharing my own thoughts on what could be improved, I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback.

What stood out to you? What would you improve? And what do you feel should remain the same?

Thank you in advance for your time—I look forward to your insights. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Maurice Vaughan

Hey, Cyrus Sales. I think you all did a great job on the commercial! I like the animation style, but I'm not really a fan of the shadows on the characters. No offense, but the shadows make the characters look dirty.

Kevin Jackson

Hey Cyrus Sales great job. I don't have an issue with shadows, but these shadows like Maurice Vaughan said look dirty. If the shadows have too much blur they can take away from the aesthetic, also as best as possible you want to use coloured shadows and not black shadows. Using blue shadows or shadows that are a variation of the skin our outfit colour. I can tell you are using software generated shadows, so the softness of the shadows really make a difference here. Try turning the blur down a lot or manually adding the shadows for personal projects. For a commercial I would not recommend manual shadows if the time is tight.

Outside of that, nice walk cucles and timing for the most part.
