"Where do you draw the line between pulling from personal, real-life trauma for a scene versus using pure imagination? How do you protect your mental health while doing it?"
This is a great question Suzanne Bronson - I'm not an actor, I'm a producer, but I've seen actors on sets go to 'that place' which can be very difficult. I heard one of them say how they rely on meditation religiously - that way they can turn the dark thoughts out of their head and control them. I also meditate, so that really hit home with me and thought that was great advice for other actors.

This is a very important question
I think where memory stops serving the story and starts rewriting your peace
you protect yourself by treating trauma as a script you can close not an identity you have to live
Mental health? I'm a veteran of 3 wars and served 2 nations. That boat sunk years ago
