Acting : Special Skills by Suzanne Bronson

Special Skills

We all have that spot on our resume where we list our special skills. I am curious: what are your special skills?

Ashley Renée Smith

Suzanne Bronson fun question!

I’m not an actor, so I don’t have a resume with that section on it, but if I did, every single one of my special skills would be in the kitchen. Cooking is the thing I’m genuinely good at and the thing that most reliably refills my creative well. My husband and I cook together constantly and it’s how I destress, how I express myself, and how we spend some of our best time together.

So put me down for: I can fry a mean egg. Which I suppose makes me useful casting for exactly one type of scene.

Curious what everyone else has on there. I’ve always heard the special skills section produces the strangest and most delightful information about people

That's fun Ashley Renée Smith My special skills aren't much use on a sound stage either. Mine are geared for those outdoor scenes, I suppose for a western maybe. Hey, we could do a western together. You can cook on the campfire, and I can pitch the tent, saddle and ride a horse, and takes us kayacking on the river. Is there anyone here that can shoot? haha

Suzanne Bronson Martial arts. Specifically, expertise in Chinese internal martial arts, including sword. Also some stage fighting. I haven't tried riding in years. Might not be a good idea at this point. Fishing might be okay, but these days, we'd have to check the water before I'd eat the fish. I had a PADI certification once. Didn't do much diving though.

Lawrence Stern

I can do lots of different dialects (many years of acting before I switched my focus to writing) - and I can wiggle both my ears and raise each eyebrow separately lol
