Seeking an experienced writer/screenwriter for a short-form scripted drama currently in development.
The series is set inside the world of a high-end divorce attorney and draws heavily from the realities, characters, moral complications and cases that exist within that world.
Tonally, we are not looking to make a traditional network legal procedural or a glossy lawyer show. Our creative references live closer to the grounded, character-driven storytelling of Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad and Taylor Sheridan’s work—where the profession provides the world, but character, consequence and moral complexity drive the story.
The concept, characters, season direction and underlying world have already been developed. We are looking for a writer who can come aboard, collaborate closely with the producers and translate that vision into sharp, cinematic scripts.
Our ideal writer:
This is a paid freelance writing position with the potential to continue through the season if the creative partnership is successful.
When applying, please include a brief introduction, relevant credits and 1–2 writing samples that best demonstrate grounded dramatic storytelling. If you have experience writing short-form scripted content, please include that as well.
We are less interested in the size of your résumé than in finding a writer whose voice and collaborative style are right for the project.
Location: Remote / New York production
Genre: Drama / Legal / Character-Driven

Does the job require any knowledge of law? If not, do you have any legal plot ideas that could be incorporated into it? Thank you.
