About Ariana

Ariana Fiorello-Omotosho is a screenwriter and historian whose work centers untold Black narratives across early American history. With a background in archival research and storytelling, Ariana weaves emotional authenticity into historically grounded scripts that spotlight resistance, memory, and legacy.

Her debut feature screenplay, Echoes of Medford, follows an enslaved woman in 1775 Massachusetts as she quietly discovers her agency on the cusp of the American Revolution. The project has inspired a companion television series, Echoes of the North, which explores post-Revolutionary Black life across New England and beyond.

Ariana holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science (Archival Management), a Master’s in History, and a BA in English. She’s passionate about recovering the voices often left out of traditional narratives and is currently preparing Echoes of Medford for festivals, competitions, and industry outreach.

When she’s not writing or researching, Ariana can be found building immersive creative spaces, leading storytelling workshops, or scrolling through 18th-century court records for fun.
