SYNOPSIS:

Jack Napier is an ambitious, young cop, who’s just been assigned to the Chinatown Precinct in Postwar Los Angeles. Desperate to make a name for himself and rise up the ranks, he charges headlong into a world he doesn’t understand.

Despite the best efforts of his partner and his father, a retired cop, to restrain him, Jack is quickly out of his depth in a neighborhood shrouded in dark secrets. He’s pulled even further down when he falls for a beautiful, young, Chinese woman named Mai.

While Napier fights gallantly against a vicious crime boss, he must also confront corruption within the police force. Despite possessing integrity, courage and smarts, the odds against him are ultimately too great.

This is a story of what happens to a naive, you man, who’s blinded by his convictions. His relentless desire to take down a criminal empire, and the corruption that protects it, proves his undoing. An older, wiser man would have assessed the situation and done as little as possible.
