Street racing is the bane of So Cal neighborhoods until a reluctant techie teams with a teen driving prodigy and a rookie CHP Officer to make incredible machines that makes L.A. behave itself.

SYNOPSIS:

Do me a favor. Imagine you're tailgating a garbage truck on the Santa Monica Freeway. Just three feet off its bumper, you ask yourself, "How is this truck going so fast?”

Shockingly, the truck slams on its massive brakes. Before your eyes, the rear end transforms into an Evil Knievel-like launching ramp. No time to hit the brakes, you’re launched above the truck. Yippee Ki-Yay! You're flying'. Gravity has its way and your sedan slams into the roadway.

Road Hog is the action comedy feature about Stanley Bascom, a 40-year-old techie with a great middle-class portfolio: good job, house, a Ferrari masquerading as a VW bug and gizmo-filled garage. He builds great shit. With no family, Stanley has opted for a quiet life, watching out for his neighborhood.

One night, street racers drift into Stanley’s cul-de-sac and nearly hit a little girl. Stanley has a Scarlett O’Hara moment - he’s never going to let that happen again. Yet, Stanley is not a natural vigilante. He needs Kirk, the 14-year-old foster kid from across the street, to pull him into the conflict with these street racers.

Kirk has one overwhelming talent. He can drive anything better than anybody. He’s the next Lewis Hamilton. Unknown to Stanley, Kirk’s pissed at the street racers because they won’t let him race.

Cheryl Guthrie, a CHP rookie who was a successful dirt racer, aids Stanley and Kirk. “Was a successful dirt racer,” because she was “too good and too girl to run against the goobers.” Stanley’s infatuation with Cheryl pulls him deeper into the battle.

The street racing crews follow a purposefully narcissistic bad guy, Bobby Hunt, who runs the most organized street races in So Cal. He’s eluded cops forever and makes a fortune in the process. His dream is to be on Shark Tank to franchise his illegal street racing business.

Ultimately, the four of them turn Los Angeles into the biggest televised freeway chase ever. In the manner of Real Steel and Fast & Furious, Stanley, Kirk and Cheryl find family.
