SYNOPSIS:

The Cost of Living A synopsis Valentine Barr on a frozen mountain in Tibet in1997 discovers a way to live longer. Today, he brings that chance to those who can afford it. I.N.K. (Intelligence Network Keepers) is called into action. New recruit Amy Bastings’ life is about to change forever. Harington her home town, is also the base of INK, under this cloak of lies and suspicion. Amy is integrated into a team of specialists. Meanwhile, Valentine Barr starts his plan, taking over the media with complex transmissions, brainwashing populations into taking part in his auction for life. Anarchy breaks out; as the Auction Day dawns. INK under the leadership of Felix try to stop the auction but Barr, together with his sidekick and his lover Platinum, begin the auction. The auction starts at five million dollars; more life makes the price go higher, reaching billions and billions of dollars. INK has a person on the inside, but is still unable to trace Barr’s lair. Barr announces his ‘modus operandi’ and directions to those selected. Felix Titling is one of those chosen, Barr’s directions must include a young child under 12 travelling. Barr gathers the winners of the auction together transporting them through the desert to a waiting plane. INK follows and are shot down. Now Barr takes on his alter ego MR MONEY. The captive audience is seduced into the idea of a long life, living to a ripe old age without fear, only to find out that the whole episode is a hoax. Mr Money has duped all, and demands from the agencies, double ransom for the people on board, giving them just a few hours to raise the cash. INK track the aircraft, discovering there is little fuel left, before it crashes into the sea. A desperate rescue mission is set up. Mr Money and his cohorts exit the plane, leaving those onboard to their fate. Long-time operative Berlin Sans gets on board the plane using the latest in and steers the plane, he has nowhere to land. The team of INK hit upon an ingenious solution, the wing of the plane can be shot off and they can fly it like a rotor blade on a helicopter, spiralling down, gravity will slow its descent. INK calls in the Navy; a super carrier is put in position. Candara has perfected a new weapon. A laser lance she uses this to slice the wing off the plane so that it hovers. It works the plane hovers and descends to the sea before being picked up by the Navy. Unaware, Mr Money heads for his secret island, he has little time left to unlock his vault and secure the money. INK must take out Mr Money. Candara and Eras target the sub, it disappears into the island. Candara has an idea she urges Eras to fly to the sun where she can charge the lance and implement her secret weapon White Heat. which converts heat and sound into pure energy, they make for the island. Candara tells Eras to play some music the loudest he has, Candara fuses the light with the sound, and aims the lance at the faults in the sea bed, the energy forces the plates to buckle creating a huge vortex that converts into a giant Tsunami. The force of the waves crush the island before Mr Money can claim his loot. In the aftermath of the attack and defeat of Mr Money, cancer victim Felix hands over to Garamond. At the funeral of Titling the group gather to say their goodbyes. After they leave Garamond discovers that the life watch worn by Titling given to him by Felix as his legacy, is now ticking. Could it be that Mr Money is still alive?
