When gunfire rings out in the night, three boys set out on a moonlit adventure to save Chinook salmon fishing/folklore-telling, Uncle Joe, from going to jail. 

SYNOPSIS:

Set in Central Idaho, Nez Perce Natives arrive in Riggins to fish the rivers for Chinook salmon. Young cousins 9-year-old Sam and 12-year-old Luke sneak out from their grandparent’s cabin to help 16-year-old Native Charlie on a night’s mission to keep Charlie’s Uncle Joe out of jail. A true coming of age adventure story packed with a kidnapping Sasquatch, an angry mother bear attack, a rattlesnake nest narrow escape, a near-death by drowning, amazing salmon fishing, and one unforgettable Native folk tale.
