After profiting from his brother’s childhood murder, a notorious death photographer and his loved ones must survive the night when his brother returns from the dead to reclaim his image.
SYNOPSIS:
As a death photographer, Memo Villarias has built a career capturing the deceased in the moments after, profiting from a reputation forged in a childhood tragedy: surviving the infamous serial killer Tom Hooper. But Memo’s success and new “book of the dead” has triggered a nightmare twenty years in the making. The killer’s victims begin to rise from their bitumen-soaked graves.
Demián, Memo’s younger brother, leads the undead children in a bloody mission to torment Memo and exact his revenge. Memo is forced through a bloody, slapstick-filled gauntlet of horrors; from an apartment siege to a high-speed car chase to a halloween party massacre and a seance gone wrong. Innocent bystanders, friends and even his father and aunt are killed in the crossfire.
When Salma, Memo’s sister, forces him to admit the truth-that he was responsible for Demián’s death-he must confront the brain-damaged Hooper to find the key to the ritual. The siblings return to the site of his betrayal, where they face Demián and the undead children in a gross-out, body horror-filled final showdown. Memo learns the hard way that some images are better left in the dark, as he destroys the very book that made him famous and sacrifices himself to the bitumen abyss to save his sister and end his brother’s reign of terror.

A solid beginning but a little vague to me.
