In a mansion surrounded by a lush forest teeming with wolves, an eccentric heiress finds herself trapped by the living, shifting walls that force her to confront painful memories, but as she tries to move on with her new life, a police investigation into her missing siblings threatens to unearth secrets long-buried, and new ones.
SYNOPSIS:
Though it is the year 1920 in the outside world, the past, the present, and the future overlap in
one opulent, turn-of-the-century mansion. Surrounded by a forest teeming with wolves and the
pulsating, shifting walls of her house, an eccentric heiress, Xia, finds herself perpetually
confronting the traumas of her past while battling a parade of family members trying to evict
her from the estate. Before the deceased patriarch of the family is even buried in the ground,
Xia’s handed an eviction notice and the feud begins—the looming wolves on the fringes even
joining the fray. Xia’s emotions and body take a toll as she counters every shady move and
every memory that assaults her, trying all along to create a new life with her loving husband
and adopted daughter. As siblings and relatives start disappearing one by one, a police
investigation reveals that some outsider—or maybe insider—may be motivated by the family’s
wealth, and two detectives vow to protect Xia and her family. But who are they protecting
them from? An unforeseen villain with a grudge against the rich, the wolves, the ominous
mansion, or is it the disquieting cracks in Xia’s psyche?
