SYNOPSIS:
In 1944, U.S. Army Captain Remy Toussaint is given a nearly impossible assignment: parachute behind enemy lines and plant false intelligence to make the SS believe that Hitler’s most brilliant general, Erwin Rommel, in charge of European defenses, is a traitor. If successful, Hitler will disregard Rommel’s advice, seriously weakening Nazi defenses. But Remy is warned that his contact in the French Resistance, the beautiful but ruthless Marie Baudin, may be a double agent. The story is inspired by true events.
THE ROMMEL GAMBIT is a Quarter-Finalist in the 2022 Nicholl Fellowship and won the Big Apple Film Festival Screenplay Contest. It is on the Coverfly Red List and in the top 1% on Coverfly.

John Doble I love this topic. I've read over 30 books on Rommel alone, including his own book, "Infantry Attacks." That said, the logline is saying a lot. I wonder if adding more action words could help? Maybe split into two sentences? Here is a stab at it that I did (not saying it's perfect...concede it needs some work as well but may yield ideas for you): "In the darkest days of World War II, an American officer sets off on a daring mission to infiltrate enemy lines and implicate Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, the mastermind of the formidable Atlantic Wall, as a traitor —can he trust the beautiful French Resistance fighter, who has offered to help him, or is she a dangerous double-agent?"
