SYNOPSIS:

JACK and EMMA RAINEY are minor internet celebrities, vlogging their travels across America in a battered RV as The Rainey Rangers. Behind their carefully curated image lies financial strain and a crumbling marriage. Jack is obsessed with growing their brand, while Emma longs for a real life beyond the screen. When Emma announces she’s pregnant, Jack sees it as their biggest content opportunity yet—until she vanishes without a trace.

Jack receives a cryptic message from MECHANICDUSK, an anonymous troll demanding that he reach 100,000 followers by midnight to see Emma again. Unbeknownst to Jack, MechanicDusk is actually JUSTIN, a small-time creator with a mission to expose the phoniness of influencer culture. Desperate, Jack turns to Emma’s brother, MILES, who promises to help track down the kidnapper through social media clues. Meanwhile, Emma—bound and held captive—begins to fake Stockholm syndrome, manipulating MechanicDusk to gain his trust.

With the clock ticking, Jack spirals into increasingly reckless stunts, turning his search for Emma into a viral spectacle. His antics attract attention, but his desperation also makes him a fugitive. As Jack’s online presence skyrockets, Emma carefully plays her captor, waiting for an opening.

Jack finally reaches 100,000 followers, but MechanicDusk issues a final ultimatum: delete his channel or lose Emma forever. Forced to confront what truly matters, Jack makes the ultimate sacrifice—erasing his digital identity to save the woman he loves. But when he arrives at the meetup point, he finds Justin wounded, claiming Emma attacked him. In a shocking turn, Jack discovers that Miles was involved all along, believing he was “saving” Emma from Jack’s toxic obsession with fame.

Jack—having live-streamed the entire confrontation—leaves Miles to be arrested and rescues Emma. Stripped of their online presence, Jack and Emma choose to step away from the cameras, embracing a real life together, away from the algorithms.
