GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

After messy breakups, two best friends escape to a tropical paradise to reset their lives. But between high-stakes romance, shady business deals, and a hilarious string of misadventures, they soon realize that happiness isn’t about finding the perfect man— it’s about embracing life on their own terms.

SYNOPSIS:

Lucy, a 30-year-old marketing professional, dreams of a fairytale romance—until her

neglectful boyfriend ruins her birthday, forcing her to face the harsh truth: she deserves

better. Her best friend, Dee, a sharp-tongued, self-made entrepreneur, has her own crisis

when she catches her fiancé getting too close to a coworker. Fed up with love and Los

Angeles, Dee surprises Lucy with first-class tickets to Malaki Island, an exclusive

Caribbean hotspot known for its wealth, luxury, and eligible men.

What starts as a getaway for self-care quickly turns chaotic. Lucy falls headfirst into a

steamy fling with a charming Latino lover, while Dee, skeptical of love, attracts the

attention of Dwayne, a mysterious, successful businessman who might actually be the

real deal. Meanwhile, the island’s reputation for secrecy hides more than just luxury—

Dee and Lucy stumble into a world of money laundering, fraud, and power-hungry men

who will do anything to stay on top.

As the trip unfolds, both women are forced to reevaluate what they want—not just in

romance, but in life. Lucy realizes love isn’t about checking o] a list, and Dee, always in

control, questions whether she’s finally met someone worth trusting. Together, they

navigate heartbreak, danger, and unexpected opportunities, proving that sometimes, the

best love story is the one you write for yourself.
