Betty, a hopelessly romantic parole board worker, helps a female inmate get out of jail to reunite her with her lover. Along the way, she learns to escape the prison her own life has become. 

SYNOPSIS:

A disempowered parole board worker named Betty escapes the drudgery of her boring job and loveless marriage by hanging with her 2 best pals, watching her TV soap operas and occasionally fantasizing about murdering her husband. During a girls’ night out, Betty meets a dashing and mysterious man, Carlo, who professes his love for La’Raine, a seductive woman incarcerated in the prison where Betty works. As Betty becomes enamored of their profound love story, she envisions a way to break the law to emancipate La’Raine in order to reunite the two lovers. She simultaneously finds courage building within herself to stand up to her bully of a husband and break out of a prison of her own making -- her life until now.
