A young Basque woman travels to the American West of 1913, where women have property rights, to realize her dream of owning a sheep ranch.

SYNOPSIS:

Basque Country, 1913. Trapped in a loveless betrothal, Maite dreams of owning a sheep ranch like the Basque pioneers who've tamed the American West. With her brother Julen by her side, she sets sail for Winnemucca, only to find herself battling prejudice and the hostility of local ranchers towards wandering Basque shepherds.
