In Casablanca, Morocco, a mentally-burnt-out, dirty cop gets sucked into an on going war with torn allegiances between his former employers in the Mafia & the Anticorruption Agency.
SYNOPSIS:
Casablanca is derived from political & social climates in the Arab World with an Arabian point of view. The subject of the show focuses on corruption & the rise of social justice.
The first season of eight episodes exhibits a shadowy tug of war between the Anticorruption Agency & Mafia Al-Nufud. The narrative is driven by detective, Sammar, & her need to bring down mobster Bo'Rakan. In between them is our protagonist, officer Mo, who's been working for the mobster & joins the detective in his search for redemption. He’s also in the middle of a side battle with his subconscious, Lil Mo, projected to him as a 10 year old version of himself.
Over the course of the season, each character will have an episode to explore their point of view regarding the events that take place. A relationship between Sammar & Mo blossoms into a partnership that will put an end to Bo’Rakan. But it will also introduce the other members of mafia Al-Nufud. That includes a rogue American operative living in Morocco for the past 30 years under the alias Bo’Turky. And the man in the shadows known as “Majhol".
