SYNOPSIS:

SAWA is a dramatic fantasy story set in Warsaw, a city perpetually scarred by uprisings and occupation, seen through the eyes of its mythical protector: Sawa, the legendary Warsaw Mermaid. She is an ancient, powerful being, but also weary, haunted by centuries of conflict and her unfulfilled promise to protect innocent lives. Sawa lives a gilded, yet confining, existence in Belweder Palace as the consort of Konstanty, a Russian Grand Duke who chose her over the imperial throne. Despite the luxury, Sawa feels imprisoned, a sentiment she expresses to Wysocki.
