SYNOPSIS:
Very short logline: When the most advanced war android starts to experience what humans call 'dreams', she begins to question her purpose as the ultimate weapon.
World's first corporation-state, Rumble Corp, have been working on AI, quantum computing and nuclear powered autonomous weapons, for almost 50 years. Recently, its AI and Neuroscience division have developed the most advanced AI, Omega-05 (codename: Adhara), becoming the best candidate to control Rumble's latest biosyntetic body, equiped with an experimental neuro enhacer symbiote (codename: Takoo), with state of the art tactical capabilities.
Everything is going way better than expected. Adhara becomes Absol's commander (Rumble Corp Special Forces), which purpose is to mantain peace and order, at all cost. Adhara is, by far, the perfect soldier: its(her) mental and physical abilities are far beyond what humans can achieve, and executes orders perfectly, without questions. But suddenly, she starts to experience what humans call 'dreams'. What are these? Have they been programmed on her AI? Can these be 'memories'? If so, memories of what? Or who? These vivid visions lead her to question her role as the ultimate weapon, and to begin a journey to discover her true self, and to discover the truth behind her dreams. She records her visions in a series of books, Kyrie Eleison, and travels across the world as a homless storyteller, trying to avoid being captured and desmantled by her once best friend, and now worst enemy, Sirius.
'Free will of a weapon' is the first and final book of a 'cyclic' 5 book series (inspired by the concept of oroborous and Big Crunch cosmological models), named 'Kyrie Eleison' (greek words for 'Lord have mercy') Here, I explore consciousness, free will, our perception of reality, our purpose as conscious beings and the possibility of a fractal multiverse. The first (and last) one is a sci-fi thriller, cyberpunk story, about AI, autonomous weapons, totalitarianism and the possibility of an emerging AI self consciousness. The second is an 'isekai' (japanese for 'reborn in another world'), about science vs magic, and how a really strong sense of purpose can change history, for good or evil. The third one is a sci-fi slice of life, about competitive esports, the pursuit of success, family bonds and love. The fourth is a psycho thriller, about love and mental illness (I'm a mental patient, diagnosed with schizo-affective dissorder), and that not only the bad things and/or depression can lead you to escape. The fifth, is a dark fantasy epic, about resilience: no matter the adversities, no matter how lost you are, you can always find redemption and reborn from the ashes.
