SYNOPSIS:

MIRIAM (32), a suicidal mental health patient burdened by extreme guilt, writes AGAIN to her kind-hearted, but estranged sister, VALERIE (30) Their relationship has always been strained. When their mother’s huntington’s confined her to a wheelchair, it was sixteen-year-old Miriam who was forced to give up her life to care for her, while younger sister, gifted musician, Valerie, sought her dreams. Miriam became so aware of her exclusion from life and love that she was driven to extreme measures to break the numbness. Now, sixteen years on, unable to accept her actions, Miriam lures Valerie into visiting her with a request to bring a concealed blade. Told in a double narrative flashback form, this story was inspired by a true account of a severely depressed girl who killed her neighbour’s daughter in order “to feel something”.
