Mark Todd: A short-served military Veteran who became a successful software developer. His every spare moment revolves around his passion for the natural world and his imaging exploits.

Ross Waverley: CEO of a Fortune 500 company with commercial interests in numerous products that impact the health of the natural world. 

Peter Thorpe: Embattled, middle-aged, SFPD Homicide Detective assigned to the series of gruesome murders that seem to be focused on wildlife importers. 

Jenni Shimura: Asian American police detective and police partner of Peter Thorpe. 

SUMMARY

The impact of human expansion in the rainforests of Kalimantan, Indonesia, played out before him as the death of an Orangutan he had been photographing sent him reeling. Retreating from society, he descends into a world of gratuitous retribution against those he interprets as committing crimes against nature. Industrialists, hunters, executives of mineral extraction corporations, and even one member of the British Royal Family appear on his elimination list. And one by one, they fall.

His quest inspires a global wave of copycat crimes enacted by like-minded individuals. Where politicians failed to impose laws and resource limitations to protect the natural world, so the acts of these 'eco-terrorists' prevail. Corporations and entrepreneurs adopt policy adjustments so as not to incur the wrath of those acting out these crimes. For now, instead of wrist slaps and paltry fines, it is their, and their family's lives on the line.

Everything comes to a head in an opulent residence in the San Francisco Hills. On this fateful night, his quest ends, and his journey begins!

RESONANCE:

No one likes to hear about the exploitation of nature. To go on social media and see Whales and Dolphins being slaughtered, Elephants and rhinos being poached, etc. It makes the blood boil. This tale resonates with anyone who has even for one second had those dark thoughts of "String them up by the balls" when they see some form of wildlife exploitation or environmental degradation. Given the current state of the natural World, I believe this tale is one with its finger very much on the pulse of social issues.

Everyone in the immediate moment wants the World to be better for our children. Will big industry leaders, environmentalists and nefarious elements of society finally listen when it's their lives on the line? Politics has not been able to save the planet and wildlife species thus far. Will the actions of a global cadre of 'eco-terrorists' be able to accomplish that which so many politicians have failed to?
