Eighteen years after a drunken night of teenage fun leads to a rare pregnancy where fraternal twins are fathered by two different men, Lott Cohen and Bass Spring are forced to confront newfound fatherhood along with a complicated past when their sons decide to meet the men who gave them up at birth.
SYNOPSIS:
In 2006, 18 year old high school seniors; the closeted drama kid LOTT COHEN, his best friend the popular Darcy Grifter, and the sexually fluid teenage rock star BASS SPRING, engage in a drunken sexual liaison. A few weeks later, Darcy finds herself pregnant with twins and due to a rare medical phenomenon known as “heteropaternal superfecundation” where fraternal twins are fathered by two different men, the trio learn both Lott and Bass are expectant fathers to be! Throughout the nine months, Bass, Lott, and Darcy bond, looking forward to raising their sons together. However, the night they shared with each other (and Darcy) has ignited something between Bass and Lott. Darcy dies during childbirth and her mother convinces Bass and Lott to let her raise her grandsons, DAKOTA and DALLAS, as her own. The two young men painfully agree and part ways.
18 years later, the brothers learn the truth about their parentage; Dakota, the aspiring singer, is Lott’s (now a popular screenwriter) while aspiring actor Dallas belongs to Bass, the retired but still prolific former rock star. Wanting to get to know their fathers but realizing Dakota has more in common with Bass and he has more in common with Lott, Dallas suggests they switch places and go to New York City to meet each other’s dads so they can “vet” them for one another.
