SYNOPSIS:

Cassandra is the daughter of the Tiernan Rowan, captain of the Monarch, the kingdom’s premiere merchant ship. She grows up traveling the world, learning the seas, and battling pirates.

As Cassandra blossoms into a young woman, Captain Rowan realizes a ship is no place for a young lady. He enrolls her in Mawr Dame, the finest finishing school in all the land. Over the years Cassandra learns science, literature, and history, along with the womanly arts of grooming, etiquette, and deportment.

At Mawr Dame, Cassandra makes friends, becomes a refined lady ready for court, and a champion fencer, but her father never sees her graduate. He is killed by his nemesis the pirate Captain Serkan.

To avenger her father she must become what she most despises, a pirate. So Captain Cassie, along with her father’s long-time first mate steals a swift schooner, raises a crew and trolls the sea for her quarry.

After several high sea adventures, Captain Cassie is lead back to her homeland, where Captain Serkan has installed himself in the Queen’s court with a much more dastardly plot than simple piracy. He seeks to instigate the chaos of war to cover his theft. Cassie must use all of her Mawr Dame training and womanly charms to infiltrate court, charm Prince John, expose Serkan’s plan, and save the kingdom from war.
