NO(VEMBER)
By Ines Rehberger

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE:

Being forever sixteen sucks. Especially when your mom wants you dead. On the run, vampire November must face heartbreak, healing, and the messy business of growing up undead.

SYNOPSIS:

No(vember) is a coming-of-age dramedy with a supernatural twist, loosely inspired by real life but with a little more bite. It explores what it means to be stuck at sixteen. Forever. While grappling with the overwhelming urge to drink blood just to stay sane.

No, short for November, is a grumpy, pessimistic young vampire who lives with her beloved older sister April, her volatile and delusional mother Liza, and the memory of her deceased father. Her life is turned upside down by a global pandemic that transforms people into vampires, including No herself.

Three years after the chaos, No has become the ultimate outcast, hunted and feared by humans. She now shares her solitude with Maybe, a vampire badger, and secretly relies on April, who works at the local hospital and provides cruelty-free donor blood. But No’s fragile peace shatters when Kurt, another young vampire and former soldier in her mother’s anti-vampire army, causes a massacre at the hospital.

Forced to flee her mother’s relentless pursuit and leave her sister behind, No reluctantly teams up with Kurt. Together, they seek refuge at a camp where humans and vampires attempt coexistence. But safety is elusive, and the pair must confront their fears, dreams, and painful pasts while navigating a fractured world.

No(vember) is a poignant story about brokenness and healing, sisterhood and unexpected friendship, and the slow journey toward self-acceptance. Through humor and heartache, it challenges the idea of monsters, revealing that sometimes the real monsters are those within and around us.

In the bittersweet end, No grows despite being eternally sixteen, reminding us all that coming-of-age is more than just getting older,it’s about finding peace with who we are.
