When a middle-aged man receives a job reference call about an old friend, he spirals into an overly detailed retelling of their teenage sleepover, completely derailing the professional conversation with his compulsive oversharing.
SYNOPSIS:
The story follows Andy, a chatty middle-aged man who struggles with oversharing in therapy, as he receives a phone call about a job reference for an old friend. This triggers a flashback to his teenage years when he and two friends (Patrick and Ben) had a "bromber party" (boys' slumber party) twenty years ago. During that night, the boys engage in Nerf gun battles, share snacks, and eventually play a confession game where
Ben reveals an embarrassing incident about having an accident in church. The story returns to the present, where Andy realizes he's been oversharing irrelevant details with the job reference caller, demonstrating his continued struggle with excessive talking - the very issue his therapist has been trying to help him address.
