When a fourteen-year-old boy leaves his violent broken home in search of work, his adventure takes him around the world; through a world war, and finally onto the stage and screen to become the man Charlie Chaplin called his favourite comedian.
SYNOPSIS:
Sir Norman Wisdom was one of the UK's favourite comedic heroes. As a child, he suffered a broken home life and an abusive father. While still a young child, he left his family to find work in London and then walked from London to Wales in search of work. Working on a ship he travelled to Argentina and back only to be penniless on the streets. He joined the army at 14 and this began his transformation into a great performer loved around the world. This is the story of Sir Norman Wisdom, the man Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy all rated their greatest comedian.
