Alone, SACHI (23) goes to an empty field on a cold night with the aim of screaming into the nothingness of nature and thereby releasing her built-up frustrations brought on to her by a boyfriend. She screams the most primal scream and becomes elated. In the distance, her scream repeats itself, answering her. The field is flat and quiet; it cannot echo anything. Sachi is confused, and then the scream happens again, only closer. Fear strikes Sachi, and she runs. Chased by the scream and its supernatural presence, Sachi must escape the field.
'The Scream' is a 4-page short horror script with a tense build of suspense and a quick pay-off, perfect for someone looking for an easy production or a script offering a diverse range of creative ways to film a horror scene.
