After several misfires and romantic devastation, God convinces a skeptic to allow him to choose the man of her dreams.
SYNOPSIS:
Title: Her MatchMaker
Genre: Romantic dramedy
Nineveh discovers her boyfriend of six years just got married to another woman. Heartbroken and devastated, she turns to her best friend, sassy but classy Rhodesia, for a shoulder to cry on and to God for guidance.
Rhodesia helps Nineveh confront her boyfriend and provides a welcome distraction by soliciting Nineveh's help to finish planning some of her over-the-top wedding events. Even after reviewing Nineveh's mile-long list of must-haves, God convinces Nineveh that He can do a better job of picking her soulmate than she can.
After some soul searching and spiritual growth, God reveals His pick for her — her best male friend of 15 years, Caleb Jessup. Shortly after, God also lets Caleb know He has picked Nineveh as his wife. This is great news to Caleb because Nineveh is a 20 on a scale of one to 10. But, while Caleb has a great personality, he is lacking in the looks department, still lives at home with his momma, drives an old beat-up jalopy, and has no promising career to speak of — just the opposite of the guys Nineveh has dated in the past.
Caleb also lacks the confidence to approach Nineveh because he has absolutely no game. Fortunately for Caleb, God already paved the way for him. Somehow, Caleb works up the nerve, and Nineveh happily agrees to enter into a Christian-style courtship with the intention of being married.
After Nineveh asks Caleb to be her date to Rhodesia's wedding, Caleb's trusty friend, Kinnard, challenges a disheveled Caleb to undergo a rigorous make-over to be worthy of his beautiful future bride. At the wedding, Nineveh and Caleb get along great — until Nineveh starts fretting about how physically awkward Caleb's best moves are on the dance floor.
Nineveh's dissatisfaction overwhelms her. She quickly reneges the courtship and deserts Caleb on the dance floor. God cautions Nineveh that she will never be as fulfilled with another man as she will with His choice for her — Caleb. When Caleb catches up to Nineveh, she admits that she panicked and apologizes. Caleb happily accepts, and they're back on again.
