When a conflicted archangel breaks divine law to save human lives, he ignites a chain of events that fractures Heaven, empowers Hell, and sets a guilt-ridden soldier on a path through damnation toward redemption
SYNOPSIS:
The Weight of Heaven: The Mantle begins at the moment divine order starts to unravel.
Azrael, an archangel tasked with guiding souls, has always obeyed Heaven without question. But when he witnesses a mass suicide orchestrated by a manipulative cult leader, he does the unthinkable—he intervenes. In breaking divine law to save innocent lives, Azrael sets off a catastrophic ripple across Heaven and Hell, losing his connection to the light and unknowingly triggering the beginning of the apocalypse.
As punishment—and perhaps as part of a greater plan—Azrael is cast into Hell, stripped of his authority and forced to confront the consequences of his choice. There, he crosses paths with Luke, a young soldier burdened by guilt over a deadly mistake that cost the lives of his fellow soldiers. Manipulated by Lucifer into believing he deserves damnation, Luke has accepted his fate… until Azrael begins to challenge that belief.
Together, the unlikely pair journey through the brutal and symbolic circles of Hell, facing physical dangers and psychological torment that force them to confront the truth about sin, guilt, and redemption. Meanwhile, in the shadows of Hell’s hierarchy, Lucifer quietly sets her long-awaited plan into motion—one that will shift the balance of power between Heaven and Hell and extend its reach into the world of the living.
On Earth, the seeds of that plan begin to take hold, as global instability, war, and unseen forces begin pushing humanity toward collapse.
As Azrael struggles to reclaim his purpose and Luke begins to understand that he is not beyond saving, the line between divine justice and compassion blurs. What began as a single act of defiance becomes the catalyst for a much larger conflict—one that will ultimately determine the fate of humanity itself.
The Mantle is a mythological and character-driven supernatural epic that explores the cost of disobedience, the weight of guilt, and the question of whether redemption is truly possible… even in Hell.
