Half French half Polish and the child of a nanny, and profoundly gifted Frederyk Szopen would grow up to become a piano genius known simply as Chopin.  This film would chart a few moments in his life as an impoverished artist in Paris and a tragic story of love thwarted that would lead to some of his most passionate works.
