When his wife cheats on him and leaves him broke, Mitch Gilmore returns to his hometown to rebuild his life—only to find himself tangled in old friendships, new love, and a high school musical in need of saving.
SYNOPSIS:
Mitch Gilmore lived a moderately successful if unfulfilled life, until he found his wife in bed with his business partner, Hudson. In an instant Mitch lost it all. He now heads back to his hometown to start over. Mitch, back in his childhood home in Massachusetts, crazy parents and all, must rely on Barry (his best friend) , who has struggles of his own. Barry is a closeted gay man who is having an affair with the “straight” Mayor of the town Kent Clarkwell. Sam, is a former classmate and the current drama teacher at their alma mater. Sam is in jeopardy of having her fall musical production shut down due to lack of funds. Barry convinces Mitch to help. Mitch and Sam have an endearing chemistry, but Mitch’s (soon to be ex) wife Janney is always looming over them. Through over the top comedic scenes, the characters learn, grow and heal. Barry and Kent go public with their relationship and come out of the closet together. Through many embarrassing trials and tribulations Mitch and Sam gain trust, save the musical and start the love story they were destined for.
