THE 12 BLIND DATES OF CHRISTMAS

THE 12 BLIND DATES OF CHRISTMAS
By Rachel Ritchie

GENRE: Romance, Comedy
LOGLINE:

To avoid her overbearing mother setting her up on a date for her annual New Year’s gala after secretly quitting her job, a college grad facing a quarter-life crisis allows her best friends to take charge of her dating life over the holidays.

SYNOPSIS:

Unluckily for her—if you ask Mads—Zoë remembers their old drunken plan to avoid applying to The Bachelor: The 12 Blind Dates of Christmas. And after a spontaneous presentation and exhausting every resource available—including the currently taken Cole and even Elliott, who, despite the clear chemistry, might not be staying if he doesn’t land the job he’s interviewing for—Mads relents and semi-reluctantly gives the trio control of her dating life to help her find a fake boyfriend for her mom’s annual New Year’s Eve Gala.

But with her final date going up in flames—literally—as Elliott gets wind that he’s all but got the job, he attempts to apologize for his jealousy by helping Mads complete a holiday tradition of going to Santa’s Wonderland since her sister can’t make it home. The pair finally stop fighting their growing feelings for each other on Christmas Eve. It’s a miracle—until it’s not.

What happens when your overbearing mother gets you Cole for Christmas? One of your best friends gets second-hand dumped, you get the news that your boyfriend(?) did not get the job and is already on a flight to Australia, and you a fight with your mother so bad that you get wasted watching holiday movies leading to another 12 Blind Dates to find a date for the gala in under a week. And if Christmas is any indication of what’s to come at the gala? It would have been less dramatic if she’d just gone on The Bachelor.
