SYNOPSIS:

Imagine if Claire from Modern Family not only had to navigate a new job but an entirely new country. Or what would happen if Rebecca in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend really did accidentally move where her ex-boyfriend lived. C’est La Vie introduces us to the Beaufort family who have just suddenly moved to Paris. Turning 50 wasn’t a happy place for Kate, an over achieving, hard working Italian American former hot MILF. Kate decides to get her relevance back to work and back to Paris where she met her husband in their youth. While matriarch Kate struggles to transition back to full time work after years of being a mom, her husband struggles with his wife becoming the chief breadwinner while their daughters struggle with the culture shock. Complicating things for the family in the first season are the surprise reveal of Kate’s ex-lover as their new neighbor, the unexpected arrival of Kate’s eldest son, hostile and incompetent new co-workers, and a house that brings more nuisance than nesting.

Hello Laura. Usually, a logline doesn't contain names and it needs to be a little shorter. Here's a suggestion: 'A woman, after leaving her globetrotting career to raise her kids, now facing menopause and mid-life crisis, impulsively jumps at a job offer from her best friend and moves her shocked family to her husband's hometown, Paris.'
