Es-mari’s last tie to her deceased husband, Maeve, lies fighting for her life in NICU, while Sam holds onto the notion that the baby is his reincarnated wife.

SYNOPSIS:

The trajectory of Es-mari’s life is tragically rearranged due to a car accident in which her husband dies and further hangs in the balance when she must undergo an emergency c-section due to the accident. Her baby is brought into the world fighting for its life. Es-mari’s reality becomes a blurry haze having to deal with the loss of her husband and the instant mortality of her baby.

In the same hospital, Sam is saying goodbye to his wife dying of cancer. A reality he is ill-equipped to deal with and not ready to face. He clings to the hope that they will meet again, remembering her conversations about reincarnation. Walking down the passage of the hospital, strangled by grief, and sinking into despair having said goodbye to his wife for the last time, he is almost pummelled by a gurney with a pregnant woman covered in blood, screaming for the paramedics to safe Maeve. The strangeness of Sam’s world lands at his feet as the name resounds in his ears. The same name his wife joked about choosing if she should return to him.

The tragedies of both Es-mari and Sam’s lives play outside by side and become more intertwined with the presence of her newborn child. Flashbacks tell the stories of their past, while conscious daily actions paints hope for the future.
