SYNOPSIS:

When seven-year- old genius Ethan Westmore claims God told him to build a ladder to heaven, his quiet Virginia town explodes with curiosity, fear, and wonder. Half the town hails him as a gift. The other half thinks he’s lost his mind. As Ethan defends his calling, his father’s mysterious illness worsens and their family unravels. A post-grad teen engineer named Jack Wolfe and the neighborhood kids soon join in to help. Despite the odds, Ethan races to complete an impossible task, build the ladder—even as those determined to stop him angrily close in.
