YIN AND YANG
By Judith Grace Bassat

GENRE: Comedy, Romance
LOGLINE:

Two strangers — a newly divorced woman and a handsome, controlling womanizer — battle for the heart of a seductive, undocumented Russian manicurist — who may or may not be playing them both.

SYNOPSIS:

Script on request.

Nick Assunto

Hi Judith, great start! I think you can trim this down, firstly. You don't need character names, and you use equally twice making for a clunky sentence. "After her husband dumps her, an eager-to-please woman falls head-over-heels for a seductive Russian manicurist, only to find out that she has a male lover willing to go to any lengths to win her over." And then from there I think you need the clarify stakes. Is she going to be competing with this guy? So I would change, "willing to go to any lengths to win her over" to whatever your protagonist's objective and stakes are, because the way it is now focuses on the wrong character (the male lover).

Much better, great work!

2 stars was a mistake, 3 or 4. Menage a trois?

Judith Grace Bassat

That's funny! But is there a way to change it to four?

I like the last twist about the man “who may—or may not play …. “. Is this in Coverfly’s Red list? I think I saw it there.
