In order to save his father's legacy and church from a conniving uncle, a struggling musician enlists the help from an old friend who goes behind his back and turns the church into an after hours brothel... now known as the Holy House!
SYNOPSIS:
Holy House is the confluence of family, community and the sins of the flesh at the Shepherds in Faith of Wilmington church and the conflict that erupts as forces from inside and outside the family threaten its destruction.
Jeremiah Riddell, the son of the recently deceased, Pastor Greg Riddell, is willed the family church and is now saddled with its debt. His conniving Uncle Benny, who covets the family church for his own, poses a threat to Jeremiah. Gwen Mason, a close family friend and confidant to the Riddell family, offers Jeremiah a way out of debt and insists on a controlling interest in the church.
But Gwen harbors a dark secret - she's an event planner by day and a Madame by night.
Jeremiah accepts this Faustian deal allowing Gwen to run an after-hours brothel in the annex of the church unbeknownst to him. Jeremiah's confidence builds as he finds purpose rebuilding his family's church and the community surrounding it. Things come to a head when he discovers the ill-gotten gains procured by Gwen's nocturnal activities.
His world begins to spiral out of control as Jeremiah's resolve is tested constantly, as he now must operate in a dark world of secrets and lies to protect his family name. How far will Gwen go to protect the secrets of her brothel? How desperately does Uncle Benny want the church, and how far will he go to use manipulation and scare tactics on Jeremiah and Gwen?
The small town of Wilmington contains a dark secret, an underworld of sex trafficking and criminality that begins to intersect at the Shepherds in Faith. For all the good Jeremiah tries to do for the community, will the ends justify the means as all hell breaks loose in the Holy House!
