Thousands of Mormons descending on a tiny zoo, along with an escaped animal on the loose, are enough to keep the zoo's would be marketing director on his toes and it's only his first day.
SYNOPSIS:
Desperate to continue courting his girlfriend, Seth Ryan applies for a marketing job at the zoo she works at in Florida. However, after an encounter with her homicidally disapproving father, Seth is forced to flee thousands of miles away to Utah where he, again, applies to be the marketing director for a tiny zoo named Zoo City. Landing this job would pave the way for Seth and his love to be together again and far away from her father's reach.
Unfortunately, for Seth, once he arrives at Zoo City for his interview he is told that hiring anybody new is no longer an option because the zoo is slated to close due to poor attendance and revenue. In a flash of quick thinking, Seth proposes that, if given one week, he could bring in enough visitors to warrant keeping the zoo open and solidify his spot as marketing director. When the zoo director agrees, Seth immediately creates a social media post announcing that Zoo City will be offering half off admission for one day and one day only. A day, unbeknownst to Seth, that also happened to be during a church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints conference in Salt Lake City. A conference of close to ten thousand participants who see Seth's post and decide to make the trip to Zoo City.
Upon learning of the potential arrival of thousands of people to the zoo at one time, Seth works himself into a panic, leading to him accidentally allowing one of the zoo's animals to escape. Now, forced with the need to win his job, Seth must enlist the help of a couple of keepers to help him find and retrieve the lost animal while still making sure all of the day's visitors have a wonderful Zoo City experience.
