An aging golf pro whose self-destructive ways cost him his wife, son and a lucrative pro career embarks on an unlikely journey of self-redemption to revive his career and reconnect with his estranged family armed only with a shocking lack of adult life skills and his boundless irresponsibility.

SYNOPSIS:

Out of Bounds is a half-hour comedy which follows the misadventures of former golf prodigy Jon Dufferin. He’s personable, likeable, gets along well with the members of the golf course he works at. But we’ll meet him less than a year after getting the heave-ho from his wife the day before their 25 anniversary and disowned by his college-age son.

His crimes? Too many to list here so we’ll just put them under the banner:

THINGS THAT JON HAS ROYALLY FUCKED UP.

As well, he finds himself about to reach a new level of failure after he’s threatened with

termination from his lowly club job at the second-rate golf course known as Queen’s Hollow.

So when he’s mocked by a younger golf pro, he formulates an improbable plan to reclaim

his wife and son, resurrect his once-promising--but now lost--career and prove to the

world that he’s not the wayward and unrepentant loser they all know.

That plan: Take a hard look in the mirror, find a way to fly straight and somehow qualify for

the PGA Champions Tour. Yes, the one on TV.
