When a homeless Latina war vet sustains a head trauma after trying to stop a crime, she wakes up to the belief that she's a super hero and makes it her goal to stop a ruthless tycoon and his thugs from leveling the slums to build what she thinks is a super-villain headquarters.

SYNOPSIS:

Brina Hernandez is like many military veterans who have returned from war, and although she no longer has a home she still has the cunning and tenacity that kept her alive in Afghanistan. After barely surviving an attack that wiped out her squad, she was sent home with enough steel reinforcing her body to set off a metal detector from 10 feet away. Now living on the streets with fellow homeless she's part of a community that all help each other and get by the best they can. Brina also volunteers at the local shelter headed by Black Dahlia the colorful drag queen and helps serve food when there is enough to actually feed those in need.

Unbeknownst to the community of street dwellers local business tycoon Landry "The Dane" Raner has plans for redevelopment for their poverty stricken slum and will do anything necessary to make it happen. When thugs in his employ start applying brutality and pressure to urge them to clear out, Brina intervenes on the behalf of her friend Joyce and takes a severe blow to the head.

When Brina awakes in at the hospital, she hears how the news says an unknown Local Hero helped save a woman's life. Brina's thoughts and identity are scrambled...the trauma mixing with her PTSD, war memories collide...her self-identity splinters. Is she a super hero? Are the police looking for this unknown hero?

Brina escapes but now must avoid pressures from both the young detective assigned to the case who has started to become infatuated by this mysterious heroic woman, and Raner and his goons bent on clearing anyone standing in their way. Raner is using extortion, bribes and blackmailing on the city council and when Brina reads the article on his impending demolition and development of the area...her splintered mind thinks his secret plan must be to build a super-villain headquarters!

Cobbling together a 'hero' outfit from donations at the shelter, she begins her own one woman vigilante effort to protect her friends, her home and their future! Word spreads among Raner's thugs of this fierce costumed woman who fights with nearly unmatched skill and tenacity and seems to be able to take a beating like no other.

In the end Brina will have to put aside her lone wolf attitude and failure to put faith in others if she ever hopes to defeat Raner's plans. She'll also need to figure out what is real and what is in her head as she's come to learn she can't always trust what she sees when the average street thug often appears to her like a medieval barbarian or possibly a mutant bounty hunter. How do you know what is real when you can't trust yourself?

Delusional visions and PTSD aside, she'll give Raner and his hired muscle more of a battle than they ever thought they'd encounter in the rain soaked slums. She might be a little crazy...but that just might be what it will take to succeed in the end.
