In India we have too many love story based films which got fate and so on juggling concepts. So I would recommend you to watch few to get some fuel for your story. Here is one commercial fun comedy love musical story film "Mungaru MAle" which you can enjoy which kind of touches those aspects. It got English subtitles as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzKys5CUizIThere is another movie called Lunch Box, which was Oscars contendor from India. Many like it, so do check it out, it got a touch of your concept, might help

Now regarding logline, I'm fine with people trying their own way to express, but if you are pitching this to any American or even Aussie producers or studio, you might have a trouble convincing them as they expect a format and might close the door on your face.

So here small link I am sharing to help you with, as you probably have story in mind.

Hi, Jessica. For a logline, you want something like: "After ______ (something happens), a _______ (the protagonist with an adjective) must _______ (goal of story) so ________ (stakes)."

Example: "After a group of dog criminals arrives in a small town, an impulsive dog sheriff must defend a dog treat factory so they won't steal food that's meant for hungry dog families."

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's a two-hander, so I don't have the perfect logline down yet. The protagonists goals change in a surprising way, and the story structure is more of an epic as it covers a lifetime - not a hero's journey. Tricky one to logline.

Jessica B Hopefully I can see your film soon :-) Epic love stories are needed in times like these. There is a fun movie called Pk. Do check it out. You might like it . It's about Alien coming to earth and experience human life and love. Here is the youtube link, it got subtitles :-) https://youtu.be/D4HvmICrC8w
