SYNOPSIS:

William Driver, known simply as “Courier,” moves cargo through The Night World – a secret after-dark economy running along America’s highways. For eight years, he has chased any lead on his wife and two children, who vanished during a cross-country drive.

When a mysterious, sealed "Full-Moon" contract promises information about their fate, William accepts - even after an anonymous warning tells him not to. The job: an impossible task on an impossible timeline - deliver an unmarked box to an old shipping wharf in Norfolk, Virginia, in four nights.

As William races cross-country in a borrowed muscle car, he's pursued by road pirates, a corrupt Night Authority governor, an old FBI friend hunting a mysterious arsonist, and a former courier named Nocturne who insists the client is not what she seems - because he made the same devastating trade, and lost.

That client is Astra: an ancient being disguised as an attractive drifter; a goddess who has spent centuries rebuilding a piece of herself, using couriers' grief as leverage. William is her latest courier – chosen not for what he can carry, but for what he cannot let go.

When he finally reaches the wharf, William has a choice: take the truth she's offering, or break the cycle that's used men like him for centuries.
