An American woman embarks on a motorcycle adventure across India to fulfill her grandmother’s dying wish and seek answers to visions of a sword that will empower her to fight for her ancestral birthright.

SYNOPSIS:

DIVINA THAKUR is an insecure middle-aged American woman who is afraid of confrontation. After a nasty divorce leaves her with nothing, she decides to travel to her father’s homeland, Rajasthan, India. Believing that connecting with her heritage will heal her heart and give answers to visions of a woman with a sword that plagues her, she seeks out her grandmother in her ancestral home.

Instead, Davina finds herself in a strange land with strange customs that clash with her modern views. Her uncle, a powerful local businessman becomes her enemy as he claims to be the rightful heir of the ancestral home. With the help of her resolute grandmother and a ragtag group of servants, she learns Lathi Khel, the art of Indian stick fighting, and embraces the culture. Growing stronger each day and less insecure, she gains the courage to buy a motorbike and travel with her grandmother through India. Her joy is short-lived when her grandmother suddenly passes away. Her uncle forces her out of her ancestral home.

Determined to get back her birthright and solve the riddle of the visions, she travels to Kerala to find a mysterious Indian Martial Arts Master. He promises to help her find the sword if she can learn Kalaripayattu in seven days! She pushes through the pain while growing physically and emotionally stronger only to realize her mentor has misled her. He cannot show her any meaning in her visions. Undeterred, she returns to Rajasthan to fight her uncle with her new wisdom and skills, but he is still more powerful. Beaten and broken, she asks the spirit of her grandmother for guidance. Divina is lead to Tanot Mata Temple. There her visions are revealed.

A powerful inner warrior is awakened. She returns to challenge her uncle in a final, winner-take-all battle.
