I like your logline, Matthew Walsh, but it doesn't give the Horror/Thriller vibe.

Agree with Maurice Vaughan , the convention of the horror genre is in the beginning, no one expects the bloody bath, but the story ends in massacre and mayhem

Thank you all for your comments, it's so great to receive this type of feedback (big or small), it matters and is helpful. I tweaked it slightly, changing "peaceful" to "strange", to at least slightly insinuate something ominous.
This is a first draft, finished three days ago; just submitted it for Stage32 Script Services coverage, and looking forward to the feedback I get from them.
