In a near-future society where AI implants augment biological functions, a career-driven executive and her anti-AI ex-husband clash over their daughter’s autonomy—just as a mysterious software update begins to corrupt the very system that governs society.

SYNOPSIS:

In a sleek, hyper-technologized future, society runs on AI-d—an implant regulating health, emotion, and behavior. JESSICA (30s), an ambitious executive and lead architect of AI-d, pushes for nationwide mandatory adoption, even planning to enroll her daughter LILLY (16). Her ex-husband RYAN (30s), a former ethics consultant turned critic, resists, fearing the cost of surrendering humanity to algorithmic governance. As Jessica navigates political hearings and corporate obligations, Lilly is torn between social conformity and her father’s ideological warnings.

Meanwhile, INO (20s), a quirky coder working on emotional regulation updates, accidentally uploads corrupted code into the AI-d network after an energy drink spill. The update begins to spread, subtly transforming infected users into emotionless “shells.” Tension escalates as Jessica uncovers the unintended effects and races to stop the spread while maintaining appearances at a pivotal government vote. Ino, infected and transformed, begins spreading the rogue update through modified devices. Jessica, now aware of the scale of the threat, seeks help from an old colleague to reverse the damage.

Ryan, caught in the chaos, shelters Lilly and their son while resisting the growing pressure from a society increasingly under AI-d's sway. As more citizen’s exhibit disturbing uniformity and autonomy disappears, Jessica must choose between protecting her life's work and saving what’s left of human free will.
